To encourage students with incomplete applications to come back and apply for scholarships you can send them a friendly reminder email.
You can achieve this in one of two ways:
Option 1: Using the distribution list email tool.
Navigate to the Emails tab, then select the Compose subtab. In the Recipients menu select the Distribution List menu and pick your current (active) cycle.
You'll notice that a tag will populate in the field below. You won't see the list of applicant emails, instead they are grouped under one tag.
After that, compose your friendly “come back and complete your application” reminder email like you would in any other email program and click the 'Send' button when you’re ready.
Note: You can choose to schedule your email instead, to learn how click here.
Option 2: By downloading and filtering a report.
Navigate to the Reports tab, then select the Stock Library subtab. In the first menu select the “Student Answers” report and in the second menu choose your current award cycle. Afterwards, click the 'Run Report' button and wait for the CSV file to download.
Then, click 'Refresh' and select the 'Download' button to view the completed report. You will be using this report to identify the students and their email addresses.
Open the file, then locate and click into the 'General Application Submitted' column header field.
Click the 'Sort & Filter' button in the Editor section and select 'filter'.
The filter (down arrow) button will now be present for the 'General Application Submitted' column. Click this filter button and uncheck the 'Yes' checkbox (to filter out those students who have completed and submitted their application), leaving only the 'No' checkbox selected.
Select and copy all email addresses from the 'Email' column (these are the email addresses of the students with incomplete applications).
Go back into your AwardSpring site, click the 'Emails' tab, then select the 'Compose' subtab. Paste the email addresses in the 'Recipients' field. To learn how to further customize your email before sending it out click here.
